Towns around Lubbock
The South Plains is flat and wide, and a hail swathe can flatten one town and miss the next entirely. Housing stock differs more than the map suggests, and so do the roofs.
These towns sit within about twenty five miles of Lubbock and share a climate, but they do not share a housing stock. A 1920s railroad house in Slaton and a 2019 build in Wolfforth have almost nothing in common above the ceiling, and they fail in different ways.
